StellarMate app won't start -- complains about EkosLive was created by Rick Wayne

As I connect to my Pi4 running fresh 1.5.5 with the StellarMate Android app (something I've had succeed before, and yes since I upgraded to 1.5.5 on the Pi), the "checking" screen appears, spins for a minute, then announces that EkosLive is down and I should restart StellarMate.

Needless to say, that doesn't help.

I have no interest whatever in using EkosLive, now or in future, so it's a little disconcerting that the app thinks it's mission-critical. Must I just use VNC? Was really looking forward to the new live-stacking feature.

Hi,

I have the same problem. Also it seems to me that the polar alignment feature has been moved to EkosLive. Is that true?

Had the same problem.
Deleting stellarmate app and reinstalled it solved the problem

I hit the same problem but problem stays the same after reinstalling the SM app.
