Polar alignment - add button to start from park position?

Hi,

I have been trying the polar alignment feature together with the solve field feature. This is seriously AMAZING. Best polar alignment method I have ever tried out. So congrats to everyone that made it possible.

A couple of small request/wish though:

1) would it be possible to make the 'start' button go to park position before attempting to go over the procedure? It would make a 2nd pass of polar alignment easier

2) in a few cases, a particular pointing may fail to solve, making ekos retry to take picture and solve a few times. I wonder if it would be possible to make ekos move a few degrees more the mount to retry to solve? Maybe a few more stars appear and that fixes the plate solve issue in such cases?

Agreed. Maybe just a button 'park after finish'.

That option (park after polar-alignment) exists, see below.
I personally haven't ever used it...

Also I don't believe the tool-tip is accurate:
(the tooltip says "Beware that turning this option off might lead to inaccurate results" and I do not agree with that tooltip).

Does this "Park" option park after every plate solve or just after polar alignment? With 3.5.x software I have a recollection that after polar aligning and selecting "stop" the mount would return to the parked position. (I frequently noticed this while attempting to slew to the first target after polar alignment.) Currently (3.6.1) if my polar alignment is off too far I will stop the process to start over. Now I have to re-park the mount manually.

I haven't used the park option, but it it must park it at the end of the alignment procedure.
It wouldn't make sense to park after every solve--then the polar alignment wouldn't work properly.

You shouldn't need to park the mount when re-starting polar-alignment, though.

I always use the auto-park option. Works fine.
Goes to Park after the PA procedure is completed and Stop is pressed.

But does this mean it will go to Parking position even after aligning any other objects (outside of PA)?

As I understand it, this only affects polar alignment.
