Svbony SV705C

Svbony SV705C was created by Outta

Just bought new nice camera, but driver does not seem to work.


On Astroberry there is no sv705 driver, others do not work, on RpiOs indi driver crashes. logs are scarce but I will send them later.

AstroDMx works on both.

SV705C requires indi_sv305_ccd driver for INDI 1.9.8 or later.
I strongly recommend the indi_svbony_ccd driver for INDI 1.9.9. It contains important fixes and improvements.

Unfortunately, the astroberry repository is still on INDI 1.9.7 and does not support SV705C.

Ok I made it work. I have built manually libsvbony and indi_svbony. That did not work either but i fixed that with simple trick.

I had to disable Autoconnect, and then connect manually. Conection takes roughly 30 seconds, but it connects and everything works except binning. 2x is grayscale, 3x is half and half 4x is grayscale. But I do not care about that. What is important it works. that is good.

Does this camera and driver work for you guys?
I experience (all the time) a indi_svbony_ccd crash on connect (indi 2.0.3) on Ubuntu 23.04
last two things drivers logs before restarting are:
Driver indi_svbony_ccd: Impossible IPState 23534
Driver indi_svbony_ccd: Impossible IPerm 1431602172
