Hi everyone
I really miss APT's live view where you can centre a star, zoom and focus manually. Any chance?
Cheers and clear skies,

This can be done now, just use your mouse in the live view to center-zoom to a star.

Hi again. sorry, I am being thick but try as I may, I cannot get the mouse to do anything to a star. e.g. I slew to Vega, hit Live Video and I see a tiny dot. How do I magnify the dot so I can focus? Maybe I'm not in the right place? In the ccd tab. I have Canon 700d working fine to capture images.
It's the '...center zoom to a star' bit I don't understand.
TIA and for your patience,
Steve

You are right, currently, it's not possible to zoom. The issue is that I switched the Live View to streaming JPGs images directly which is faster then transforming them first to RGB..etc. Anyway, long story short, I added a new property in the Streaming tab call "Subframe". If you enable that, you should be able to subframe the live stream. The code is already updated and the nightly PPA should have the update later tonight.

OK. Is it possible to have both stable and nightly ppas and switch between them?
Does the nightly build install to a different location or overwrite the stable?
TIA

Switching between them is possible, but challenging for new users. The next version stable version of INDI should be out in less than 2 weeks.

Ok. I'm using Ubuntu 18.04. Is it something over and above apt?

Hi
OK, I built the latest from git today including indi-gphoto.
How do I get a subframe to appear?
Cheers,
Steve

Just use the mouse inside the live view to select the region of interest.Hold and drag and you'll see a square appear.

How about building the git to /usr/local? Are there path and env variable problems?
Cheers,
Steve

Do not specify CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX and it should install to /usr/local by default
