This is not too difficult to do if your mobile provider offers email to sms. Essentially email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., and it will forward to your phone as text.
I have managed to do this using the notifications tool to issue a mail command that sends an email via a gmail account I made specifically for this task. It takes a little work to setup though, and ofcourse your device has to be online, and mobile within service range.
