With a polar mount, often one cannot point directly at the zenith, which is my case. I have about a 10 degree "no-fly" zone at the zenith. Often times when slewing, the closest way to get to the new object includes passing within this danger zone.
It would be wonderful if the limits were respected so that the slew is not aborted. When I hit the limits, I have set to stop slewing and tracking to avoid damage currently.
I would like to see this implemented please. It should not be possible to slew pass the mount limits, the scope should stop at or slightly before the limit and no further slew pass the limit should be actioned.
The limits actually work. My mount will stop at the limit and sound an alarm is set up to do so. My request is to have it not stop, but instead avoid that area by picking a way-point perhaps, and continue on to the target specified by the alternate path.
