Hi :)

So I have been using the SSAG from Orion as a guidecam for all of my astrophoto 'career', starting with the first image in February 2015!
Started using it with Windows and in combination with Backyard EOS. For a while it was working nice with indilib 'with a few hacks to the settings'.
For the last couple of years it has had some isues with crashing, needing the server it is connected to to reboot. This Started when I was using the QHY driver as a 'SingleFrame capture error -1' or similar.
This spring? when I reinstalled the QHY driver has been updated not to accept the SSAG, so I have been using the indi_ssag_ccd driver.
This does sort of work with indi internal guiding, but there is a crash of kstars / indi every 3rd image downloaded from the main imaging camera. Not 100% sure what the fault is, but I belive it is because of a exposure being aborted, as the SSAG does not like.
Also if you set a exposure time for the SSAG that is not in full seconds it fails to complete a exposure. A 2.5 second exposure will count down as 2.5, 1.5, 0.5, -1.5, -2,5, -3.5..... continuing to count until aborted, as it needs to 'hit' 0 to end the exposure, and starts by counting down seconds..... Should possibly count down milliseconds first :/

Anyway. The SSAG is getting old, and after updating the git repo a while ago I saw indi_ssag_ccd moved into it's own indi-3rdparty/obsolete folder. Time to take the hint :)

At the moment I'm planing a update to get my obsy running on USB3, with a single desktop running kstars, local drivers, and vnc. Then removing the complexity of two indiservers running inside the obsy over ethernet, + one client running indi and kstars with a internet connection to the remote location.
Now that I will have USB3 I was thinking of the ZWO ASI120MM-S USB3.0 as a guide cam? I see there are some issues with the USB2 versions of this camera, but USB3 should be good?

I would be using it with a Orion ShortTube 80mm guidescope and the ZWO ASI 1600mm cool. Both the 1600mm-c and the 120mm-s will be running on USB3 after the update.

The most important thing to achieve with this update is stability with no crashes, and a guidesystem that completes calibration and guide without issues. Also I must be able to run both the 1600MM-Cool and the 120MM-S at the same time with the indi_asi_ccd driver.
