I have 22.04 and with my default Simulator (Telescope, CCD, Focus) couldn't reproduce the problem. I'd suggest starting a new profile and adding simulators one at a time, restarting with each new addition, until it breaks. That might help determine where a new client manager is added (which looks different than my logs).
