Nope. That's still a problem. PS. For the time being I have reverted back to using MaximDL on a laptop computer for image capture because I was also unable to figure out how to get Ekos to start the next image in a sequence before the current image completed its download to my computer. The downloads take a long time and so this waiting added a lot of time to image capture.

I do have rsync on my Mac and I have used it in years past. Will try using it for these downloads. But, I'd still be happier if Ekos had an option to do this automatically.

I don't use flat frames. My setup has virtually no vignetting and my camera and filters have essentially no dust. Lucky me. That said, it could be an option that could be turned on and off depending on the exposure time.

Many thanks to the three of you for answering my question. I guess I can figure out how to do it externally to Kstars/Ekos but I must say that I was really hoping that there would be some simple way to make it happen directly in Ekos. Any chance that that might become an option in a future update to Ekos?

I'm using Kstars/Ekos/Indi on my Macbook laptop computer to talk to my Stellarmate which is directly connected to my CCD cameras, filter wheel, and mount. I use the Ekos Sequence Queue to take multiple images. I have things set to "Upload" the images to my macbook "Client". The uploads take about 25 seconds. That's a long time to wait before starting the next image in the queue. Is it somehow possible to set things so that the next image capture starts as soon as Stellarmate gets the image from my camera, which only takes about a second or two, rather than waiting for it to complete the upload to my laptop computer?

I'm using Kstars/Ekos/Indi to connect my computer to my camera via a Stellarmate. I noticed last night that 3x3 and 4x4 binning does not work with my main camera... a Starlight Xpress Trius SX-694. Ekos says that the exposure is complete but then gets stuck in the download mode. I wait and wait and wait. Eventually, I click the "Stop" button to abort the process. Everything works fine using 1x1 and 2x2 binning. Is there a fix for this?

I guess I'll have to figure out how to set a nonstandard home position. I keep my telescope on its mount in my garage and roll it out when I want to use it. The usual home position has a telescope pointed at declination 90 over the top of the mount. In that configuration, I wouldn't be able to roll it in and out of my garage. It's too tall in that configuration.

Update. Tonight I set things up and aligned on Venus which was near the western horizon thinking this would work. I clicked to "sync" on Venus. I then clicked on "Go To" on a nearby star. Again, the mount headed up toward due north. So, the problem isn't an issue of which side of the meridian I'm syncing on. Now I don't know what the problem is. I hope someone can give me some hints.

I recently bought a Stellarmate to control my telescope's Takahashi mount via Kstars/Ekos/Indi. For many years I have used Cartes du Ciel (CdC) to control the mount. The Takahashi mount comes with a built-in polar alignment scope so aligning the RA axis with Earth's polar axis is easy to do with great precision. So, when using CdC, I would point the telescope at a bright star, take pics with my CCD camera, center the star, and then go to CdC to sync to that star. Before syncing, CdC always asks if the telescope is on the "east side pointing west" or on the "west side pointing east". I would click which one is correct and then do the sync. I'm trying to do a similar alignment process using Kstars. In Kstars, one is supposed to right-click on the star, select the mount in the pull-down menu and then click on "sync". Kstars does not ask me if the telescope is east pointing west or west pointing east. And, after doing a little bit of experimenting it seems that it is assuming that I'm east pointing west even when I'm not. Is there a way to tell Kstars/Ekos/Indi which orientation the mount is in when syncing?

I went to BestBuy and bought a new micro-SD card and an adapter to plug it into my Mac.
I used "Disk Utility" on my Mac to copy the contents of the original card to my Mac.
I used balenaEtcher to migrate the copy from my Mac to the new micro-SD card.
I plugged the new micro-SD card into the StellarMate (SM) and powered up the SM.
As expected the stellarmate HotSpot did not appear.
I then downloaded the file StellarMateOS_1.4.6_rpi3.img from the StellarMate website.
I used balenaEtcher to migrate that img file to the new micro-SD card.
I plugged the new micro-SD card into the SM and powered up the SM.
Now the stellarmate HotSpot does appear.
YAY
