I have flashed 2 cards and I can't get the KStars map screen to open. Thus the scheduler is un-usable......

How does one go back to the same Mosaic FOV on a different night with different filters?

If you set up a sequence and save it, import that sequence into the Schedule planner, set the mosaic all up and save it on night 1 how do you get back to this region with plate solving on night 2 with a different filter set? Only thing I can think of is to originally set up the sequence with all filters and shoot a lesser total number of each than required... Due to constraints from my observatory I can only shoot up to ~ 70 degrees, And like THEY say the more data the better.

Thanks in advance.....

Still getting a hancle on the Mosaic Schedule tool. This image was captured last night and is made up from a 3x2 panel pattern. Due to time I prefer to have my focus done prior to comencing the schedule and have the aoto focus kick in IF the temperature changes by 3 or more degrees. I am now pretty comfortable in setting up a session. But IMO the mosaic tool could still use some work. There were no adjustments made to anything while the session was slewing. plate solving guiding and capturing.

Each panel of the 6 was 4 4 minute exposures an unity with a ASI533MC P with a L-eNhsance filter. The scope was a SW Quattro with the SW coma corrector, The data was cput together with APP amd tuned in PixInSight.

The data was ulgy, real ugly! Almost like I didm't have the comma corrector in (which isn't possible). Am working on a different target tonight with 240 sec exposures. Will see if the raw data improves....

Started on the evening of the 23rd of July into the wee hours of July 24. 16 panel (4x4) or 2 5 minute exposures for each panel. Mosaic rendering in Astro Pixel Processor, Processed in PixInSight and final touc-up in Luminar AI. Used a ASI533MC Pro with a L-eNhance filter stuffed into a 8" SW Quattro (Newtonian Astrograph) perched on a CGEM. Guided by a 60mm Starfield scope with a ASI120MM Mini.

I used a mosaic schedule for everything and did not touch the scope of keyboard until the sequence was complete.

I have my OS set to only allow my camera to warm up at 3C/minute. Works well, but when I use it in a Scheduled Sequence when the sequence is done the program shuts off. Shuting down the camera..... and the camera warms up FAST to ambient.

Something I am doing wrong or a hick-up in the program? There are a few default settings I'd like to change in the schedule tool but don't see where I might do this......

The workflow. As everyone knows there are multiple ways to do the same task in Pix. What I did here was use WBPP to integrate images for each panel and save as .fits. I then set out to put the mosaic panels together.

First I input the all the saved fits images into the "Image Analysis" Script run the tool and again save which will have a WCS.fit extension. The saved WCS.fit are put into "Mosaics by Co-orinates" Script and again saved as registered.fit. Then on to "Trim Mosaic Tile" Script which i save as (replace) registered.fit. The final step is to use "Photometric Mosaic Script" which you can only stitch (integrate) two panels together at a time. Once all the panel are stitched together you can process as if it is just a single image......

I should add that due to variable sky conditions over a long night I have found it wise to adjust the stacked and registered images with histogram transformation prior to getting too deep into the work flow. I can provide links to two video which help explain the how and why the workflow is what it is. I have been toying with the idea of putting a video together, it would be long or a few shorter sequential videos. Just ask and I will try to help. ( I have dyslexia which makes reading learning ummmm difficult, show me a video or show me how and I never forget....)

Sure. ZWO ASI183MM Pro, Optolong 1 1/4" 7nM Ha filter, 8 position ZWO EFW, ZWO EAF focuser, 8" SkyWatcher Quatrto Imaging Newtonian scope with SW Comma Corrector on a DIY hypertuned CGEM mount guided by a StarField 60mm guide scope with a ZWO ASI 120MM Mini camera. Used a StellarMate O/S for capture and control.

On this image I set up a schedule to capture a 2x3 mosaic. Slew, Focus, Plate Solve and guiding were all under the O/S's control. When the sequence was finished it parked the mount and warmed the camera. The data was all processed in PixInSight. Sadly I am new to using the PhotoMetric Mosaic tool in Pix, and I had to use Luminar to repair the noticeable horizontal overlap. Oddly the vertical overlap was not noticeable.

I should add the data was taken from my observatory at 52N -108W in a Bortle 2 sky, with the Moon at 98-99% illumination.

Six panel mosaic in Ha. Image is represented by 3 5 minute images processed in PixInSight and a final erase if overlap issues with Luminar AI.

Hmmm never did recieve your last email.... But I believe I have gotten things figured out, welllllllll not exactly. I was 4 out of 6 panels way through capturing a 2x3 panel mosaic, I had opted to not do a auto focus after completion of each set of images. By the time the 4th set of images were complete, I decided the focus was looking soft so I paused the sequence. when I started the captures the OS decides it won't resume. No matter what I did it wouldn't restart the missed sets of images. As I hadn't moved the mount I terminated the sequence started up a new sequence. I deleted the panels I had already captured.

Is there a way to plate solve to a location for the next set of images in a sequence?

I still don't get it. Oh well, guess it must be my fault.
