Sorry for not replying for a long time, I was in contact with iOptron support. But I found the solution for the problem here in the forum:

The problem is that the USB on the mount draws too much current. I have now passed the USB cable from the iOptron GEM45 through my Omegon Pro camera and then to the Raspi and now it works.

As far as I can see it is the latest firmware:
HC V2 210105
Main 210106
RA/DEC 210105
The stellaremate OS is 1.5.8
I cannot update it to 1.5.9, I have run the update process several times with the integrated updater and the version is still the same

Hello,
After several nights of trying to get the guiding to work (Touptec via Touptec), which was not successful, I wanted to try Touptec via Gem45.
I have connected the RS to USB cable to the HC
But I always get a timeout error. I have now tried every option. It recognizes the adapter, but somehow it doesn't want to.
Can it be that it is not working with the Raspberry 3?
