What is the resolution of your monitor? Does changing the Rpi resolution to a higher setting help?

Yes, a rough alignment on a planet can be used as a starting point. I hibernate my NexStar mount, maybe that's why I didn't have to do it again. Sorry about the confusion...

1. City closest to your location should work fine. That is what I did.
2. Once the connections are successful in KStars running on Pi, and Pi is connected to home network, I run KStars on my windows PC. Create a profile, select remote INDI Web Manager, scan for INDI server. It automatically detects INDI running on Pi. Select Devices in the profile and connect. It works fine for me. Make sure your location/time settings are configured on Windows KStars as well.

It automatically connects to the home wifi for me.

I would check location and time/timezone settings in KStars/EKOS. I have set it to update Time/Locations of the mount from KStars.

That was an easy fix! Glad it is working for you!

KStars can be used to GoTo and track an object. But before starting the tracking, it would be good to slew to a minimum of two targets in different parts of the sky and do a plate solve. It would align the mount model to the sky. You can get information on Indi websites or youtube about how to plate-solve.

I have a similar setup:
- Astroberry running on Pi
- NexStar 8 SE from hand controller to Pi to USB 2.0 port, (serial connection)
- ZWO (or QHY) camera plugged into USB 3.0 port
- JMI focuser USB controller plugged into USB 2.0 port
- No Celestron focuser or Star Sense (Star Sense is not needed as INDI EKOS has plate-solving module)

I would recommend trying connecting one component at a time starting with mount and seeing how that works out.
