Hi,

Looking forward to playing with this new release!

Thanks for the new video and the updates.

Hi Jean-Claude,

I checked (again) the video you suggested. It seemed that I forgot to "Capture and Solve" before starting the Polar Alignement tool. I tried several times with the procedure you mentioned, and every time the assistant worked perfectly (even at speed x9, and by pointing at any star, possible since a "recent" update of kstars/ekos).

Thank you very much for this reminder. This is typically the thing that happen when you do not write somewhere the exact procedure and try to do things based on your (defective) memory. It will not happen again!

Anyway, thanks for you time and detailed answer, I really appreciate!

Vincent

Dear all,

I've an issue during the Polar Alignement process, just after the first image has been taken and plate-solved, when the mount rotates to take the second picture. The process stops there, and I got a message telling me:

Mount aborted. Please restart the process and reduce the speed.

I've seen similar issues in the forum (at least two), but the solutions provided do not work for me.

The problem first occurred two weeks ago, with a RPI4 running Astroberry, that was last updated in nov. 2021 (so I did not touch anything from the software side, nor on the hardware side). KStars was in version 3.5.6 and Indi in version 1.9.4. I tried to update to the latest version (KStars 3.5.8 and Indi 1.9.5) but the problem was still there. I decided to reinstall Astroberry and update it after a fresh install (KStars 3.5.8 and Indi 1.9.5). Nothing changed.

I decided to save the log to try to understand what was going on (see the file in attachement). Apparently, the mount (Celestron CGX) is not going in the right direction as the remaining degree of rotation is increasing...

Before, the system was working perfectly fine and it was a real pleasure to use it.

Any idea ?

Vincent
