Jean-Luc replied to the topic 'Video mode, howto ?' in the forum. yesterday

Hello Salman,
Well, the problem is not how to enter the video mode, but how to get smooth motion.
At the camera's highest resolution, the best I can get is 4 fps.
I thought that decreasing it it to something like 1920x1080 would allow higher framerate, but doing so through the dedicated indi tab did not.
So, my actual question is : where and how can I decrease the camera's resolution so that the throughput becomes faster ?
Rgrds,

Hello Salman,
Yes, they were. However, taping either the Park or Goto icon (I don't remember for sure about Search) did nothing.
As I wrote in my post, there was a PI update before, and there were a lot in the following days.
The following time I used it, a couple of days after, the commands did work fine again.
I did just mention this and, of course, did not open a ticket because all worked then.
But the fact is, that at the time it happened, the commands from within the SM APP did not work, but all workd fine using RealVNC.
Rgrds,

Hello,
From yesterday to today, the Control mount icon has moved from Ekos to Sky screen.
I can't figure out the interest of this - I would rather consider this a problem, as it is not possible anymore to monitor the target while trying to center it.
Where it was until yesterday :

And where it is as of today :

Any reason for doing so ?
Rgrds,

That's fine, I wonder why I had set it to Mount once, probably a misclick while trying to adjust something else.
Thank-you for helping.

Well, then I feel lost.
I just have one imager and the mount. No extra device dedicated to guiding.
So, shouldn't I set guiding to none ?
Also, as I don't use extra guiding device, the train is the same in all tabs.
I'll check as soon as I can take photos again, but I think I had to do this way, otherwise it did not work at the time I set it up.
Then, I don't modify anything that works, until I face situations where it fails.

I modified the train so the guide device is set to "--".
It was previously set to "Mount".
Thanks to both.

Honnestly, I don't know for sure. What is certain, is that the mount did hang during capture, two times : the night before and the night when I took the screenshot.
Both times I was not able to understand the reason. I first thought of problem with meridian flip, but none of the targets would have needed this.
I'm facing some issues which I'm unable to determine whether it is because of my misunderstanding or they are real.
I tried to reproduce one that happened twice, last night and three nights ago, but unfortunately, there, in my living room, all worked correctly.
I'll open a ticket when it happens next time.
When I go on the field, I hope all will go smoothly. But next time I'll capture the session and activate all logs.

Last time I was toally unable to use goto and other functions from the tablet app, and had to use vnc instead.
Whether or not it was because of previous rPI updater update is the question.

Hello Fred,
So, the way it was in my case was a non-sense, and the cause of drift in tracking, am I right ?
