I have the color version and it works flawlessly with my INDI+Raspberry Pi3 and SharpCap+Windows although my 7-years old Lenovo Linux laptop does not like it. Just flash with compatible firmware and use the supplied or other good quality USB cable.
Thanks, is this camera from Ali also mono? And is support by PHD in windows as well?
The price is very attractive indeed, not sure if the quality is always ok..?
T7C is the color version, T7M is the mono.
PhD: I don't use Windows, just flashed the firmware there and tested with Sharpcap, but for sure. It acts like a standard ASI120 camera (same drivers etc.), just the housing is different.
You can also check the "Feedback" section on Aliexpress for reviews of the actual buyers.
Quality: Well, it is marketed as Datyson and it is not a noname brand. You can know them from their lenses, eyepieces, adaptors etc. for telescope.
The final decision is on your side! ZWO is a good brand on its own. I also own an original ASI185MC camera and I am very satisfied with it.
I have ordered one of those T7M's, let's see how it works, already have an ASI120MM wich works fine.
Also ditched my SSAG, too much troubles and instable, either on windows or linux, even using QHY5 drivers on it.
Can you use live video from the capture module?
When it can be used How about the speed of video playback?
If you can use it, currently LinGuider supports the guide in the stream.
While the frames are streamed via wired ethernet to my laptop, I can achieve with my T7C connected to Raspberry Pi:
1280x960: 6 fps
1024x400: 18 fps
640x480: 20-23 fps
320x240: 30 fps
With a "compatible" laptop, you can achieve higher frame rates, I think the RPi does not go higher because the ethernet is also on the USB bus.
