What to do when Ekos HA limit on meridian flip function is not enough...

Having a real head scratcher, and am admittedly not an old hand at this so hoping there's something I'm just missing.

I have a CGEM ii with a ed127, focuser, efw and 1600mm and it's a fairly long rig. Even when I set the HA limits to 0.0 for the meridian flip function, I'm still able to hit the tripod leg while tracking some objects though the flip has been working just fine, would just love for it to happen a little earlier. Possible in software or am I best just getting a pier extension or some such at this point?

Any help is so appreciated and real love the work this team is doing being a mac user. Tremendous thanks.

Josh,
a warm welcome to the forum.

A pier extension might be the right solution. Executing the flip even before the meridian typically won’t help, since then you will get the problem on the other pier side.
