Can someone explain to me why the calculated CFZ camera under the CFZ tab is 0 steps here?

Hi Gonzothegreat,

The calc is: CFZcamera = pixel_size * f^2 * A.

I see from your signature that you have a ZWO533MC which looks to have 3.76 micron pixels so assuming you have that on the OT...
CFZcamera = 3.76 * 4.9^2 * 51 / 1000 = 5.8 microns

You have a step size of 15 microns so
CFZcamera in steps = 5.8 / 15 which will be rounded to 0.

The purpose of the CFZcamera is to increase the CFZ in the case your camera can't take advantage of the optical resolution provided by the rest of the equipment. For example if it has large pixels. For modern equipment like yours this isn't a problem.

Thanks for the detailed reply, much appreciated. I even replayed your video a couple of times around the CFZ part to make sure I wasn't doing something sllly.
