I was unable to connect to my Fli cfw-2-8 wheel. The system, Raspbian is updated and it see the hardware that is listed in the usb devices list, but Ekos through the INDI Panel was unable to connect to the wheel usini any method (USB, Serial, ...).
Where is the problem??????? The same hardware works on a pc with Windows, using the ASCOM driver
I tried to reinstall all INIDI driver on a fresh system, but the problem persist. These the information about result of lsusb command and other information that INDI give me when I start the server, but I was unable to connect to the filter wheel in any method (USB, serial, ecc).
Could be that the filter wheel is too old and is not supported?
Actually I can only work using Windows and the ASCOM driver with other photography software
Can you share the detailed log? (check my signature on how).
INDI uses the official FLI SDK to communicate with the filter wheel, so it could be an issue in the SDK itself as well. Share the detailed logs and we'll see.
The SDK reports that no filter wheels are detected. What's the VID:PID of your filter wheel? you just run lsusb in the terminal to get this information.
yeah that should be fine... I'm not sure. The log doesn't show much except that it cannot detect the filter wheel. Perhaps next step is to contact FLI about this since we are using their SDK to communicate with the filter/camera.
The wheel works properly if I use Windows and ASCOM drivers with APT or if I use Maxim DL, but it is unusable with INDI. What can I do to resolve this issue????
Hi Jasem, as for the wheel in question, I can say that Windows recognizes it as ardware after installing the FLI driver but it works and is recognized as a wheel by itself after installing this ascom.
Thanks Jasem, I am now at work, in about 6 hours I will be at home and I will be able to attach the telescope to the Rasberry. As soon as I have everything ready I will send you id and password for remote access.
Best regards Giosi
