Hello,
This topic was discussed here and elsewhere before.
ZWO recommends to use WB_R=52 and WB_B=95 for ASI cameras (and that's the default for ZWO ASI cameras in Ekos).
This gives images a blue tint. I guess, ZWO recommends these setting to give daylight images a more natural look.
On the internets, people suggest to use WB_R=50 and WB_B=50 as this, supposedly, alters the raw data the least.
WB_R=50 and WB_B=50 give images a green tint. Which is fine since the bayer matrix is usually RGGB, with G being predominant.
Both settings should work fine.
I use WB_R=50 and WB_B=50.
After this long introduction, may I ask why these values are not added to the fits header (or I am missing something)?
Again, on the internets I saw these values added to fits header by other software.
Can this be implemented?
Thanks!
