Scheduler and Ra & DEC Target Coordinates

I am attempting to use the scheduler for the first time, it is great except I am having one issue.

I am attempting to input custom coordinates. I have framed up my object a certain way and the coordinates are a little bit off from where the actual coordinates would be.

For instance, I am trying to capture IC1318. I want the coordinates to be Ra: 20:25:38 and Dec: 40:10:08, however, when inputting the scheduler it is going to the original coordinates of Ra: 20:26:17 and Dec: 40:12:30. I even typed the coordinates I want into the J2000 line in the scheduler tab and it still will not slew to the coordinates I have entered. It always goes to the same exact coordinates no matter what custom coordinates I input.

How can I input my own coordinates for my own framing that I had planned out?

I am still having Issues, I am typing in my own coordinates in the schedule tab and making sure it is updated. The alignment tab still goes to a different set of coordinates.

I am not sure why it could be doing this. I never even input those coordinates or looked up any targets. Just used my own targets and it seems like it is defaulting to the coordinates of the nearest target.

Does it have anything to do with the coordinates in the scheduler being J2000 and the alignment says JNow?

Yes that's the reason, it's J2000 --> JNow conversion.

EDIT: If you use the FITS file (as it was in the first post) then it would solve and slew to the center of that frame.

Okay, so it seems like the best way to use custom coordinates would be to upload a fits file instead.

Thank you, I will try that tonight and report back.
