Heq-5 ftdi cable pinout was created by nicolas pelletier

Hello guys I'm new here, I looked all over the web but couldn't find a photo of a ftdi usb end cable. I believe mine has been wrongly soldered in factory. I'd like to redo it but want to make sure. Anybody would be willing to open his ? Regards

Hi Nicolas,

What makes you think the cable is incorrect?

For rs-232 connections, if both sides have their own power supply, then all that is needed (without hardware flow control RTS/CTS), is Ground, TX and RX.

The side of the cable you want to look at is the scope side, where do the Red and Black wires go to.

Ok I see, it makes sens. The cable doesn't work this is why I'm asking.

eq-mod.sourceforge.net/eqdirect2.htm has the pin out info, EQDIRECT-USB is the one you want.
