Hello, I am having difficulty connecting my Celestron NexStar 8 (the original one from 1999, not the 8i or 8SE) to Ekos. The manual is linked here . I have a cable that connects to the bottom of the hand controller, and uses the RS-232 connection to connect to my Mac with USB (I have also tested on a Raspberry Pi). I have tried all the Celestron drivers without any success connecting, and NexStarSite.com seems to indicate that the original NexStar 5/8 used a different protocol than later mounts (see page 51 in above linked manual). Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make an INDI connection with this mount, or anyone who has also run into this problem? Would I have to write my own driver specifically for the telescope?
