I'm playing with my Canon EOS 450d and with the focus feature in ekos. Everything works fine in manual mode but not with the automatic mode.
In auto mode, when you start a focus, you receive a fits and the nothing (see my screenshot). I'm using a artificial star.
So, as I previously said, everything is working fine with the driver.
In the Gphoto CCD panel, I'm able to focus in and out with the 3 level speed after I activate the viewfinder.
In the Ekos focus tab, you can choose manual or auto mode for the focusing. In auto mode, in the dark of my room with an artificial star, ekos is not able to focus.
I can hear the sound of the focuser. Ekos is downloading the frame one or two times and then nothing append more.
I'm running out of battery with my EOS 450d. I will make more test tomorrow.
Bye.

Also _before_ you test next time, enable full debug in KStars. Go to KStars settings --> Advanced --> Verbose Logging --> to File. You will find kstars.log under ~/.local/share/kstars. Once you are done with the autofocus routine regardless of the outcome, send me kstars.log file
Here is my log. I tried to change some options but the automatic focuser always do the same thing, ie take a picture, find my artificial star when this option is toggle, crop the frame, focus every time at the same speed in the same way and then nothing. I have to manually stop the process.
I'm running the latest version of indi available on your ppa.
Thank you.

Let me know how to proceed with teamviewer. I just made a fresh install and I never use it.
How can we chat to avoid flooding this post ?
