I've been interested in astronomy since 1966, and had a 6-inch Newtonian since about 1968. From the mid-1970's until the late 1990's my interest waned (starting a family, living in heavy light pollution, etc). But after 2000 it took off again, and I bought a series of better and better scopes, and after about 2005 I started astrophotography. Initially I used a DSLR but after a couple of years graduated to dedicated CCD's. I'm now on my 4th cooled camera, and trying Kstars/Ekos for the first time.
