Hi Ed
thanks for that.... I'm having more and more blank moments...A couple of things
:1. If I activate power / lighting relays from within the driver, the indicator flashes quickly from off to on, and then back to off. The web page shows the state change.
2. No weather data in ekos observatory tab.
3. Driver crashes when opening/closing roof if a security is tripped.
4. Do you know how to create a tab in ekos that would have all the info from ocs? Quite happy to help in designing one....
thanks again,
Terry

Hi Terry,
Glad you've made some progress. I'm assuming your previous issues are now okay?
Regarding the newest items you've reported:
  1. Just so I'm clear, the selected control operates correctly in the hardware, and it's only the state indication of the INDI control that is incorrect? This is probably my fault - eg. a bug in the driver. I'll look into it and let you know when there's an update.
  2. Have you added the OCS as a Weather device as well as a Dome device in your EKOS profile?
  3. This is going to require some more investigating - I'll get back to you with details of how to collect some more detailed debug info.
  4. I do know how but it's a huge undertaking and would be specific to one device which breaks the whole EKOS UI design principle. What is more plausible is a redesign of the EKOS Observatory module. However that's still a large task that has been kicking about for quite some time. I'd love it to help make it happen but realistically it's unlikely for many months.
Regards
Ed

Hi Ed,
YES, I'm getting somewhere.....Unfortunately, I've forgotten how to create a second instance of the driver. There is no ocs option in the weather dropdown driver choice. Do I need to recompile a second time changing the xml file?
again, thanks for your help.

Hmm, I might be on the wrong track there. We're going to have to ask for wider input from someone who knows more about INDI drivers...

This driver inherits from INDI::Dome and WI (Weather Interface). It does not inherit from INDI::Weather.
Is the WI inheritance alone sufficient for it's weather data to be passed to the EKOS Observatory module?

I just pushed a change. The Weather data now makes it through to the client - EKOS in this case.
I'll try to look at the other reported issues shortly.
