Hello
I tested Astroarch for a complete session tonight
Good job, all working fine, no crash.
I will continue using Astroarch instead of Astroberry

Good to hear Charles! I haven't release yet INDI 2.0 and the new Kstars FYI as me and a couple of friends are testing those with poor results/crash. But time will come for those as well!

Just trying out your AstroArch. Unfortunately the image doesn’t boot on my Rev 1.2 RPi4B 4GB……
The screen says Failed to open device: ‘sdcard’…….

That was then….tried again after a card swap or two and it seems to be booting as I write …. And a WiFi hotspot named AstroArch has started up..!

While waiting for it to get dark I thought I'd give your distro a try. I've a friend who uses Astroberry and he wants to update his system and AstroArch looks ideal for him as he just has to download an image and burn it.

I've managed to flash the image boot the Pi and connect via VNC. All very straight forward easy to follow instructions and no issues. However when I try to update-astroarch in the terminal window, I'm being asked for a password and the supplied password for the network doesn't work. Is this a bug with the update-astroarch command? Should it need a password?

Thanks

Alan

Hi Alan!

have you tried the password astro?

AstroArch has 2 passwords I set up at building time, astro for the system user and astronomy for the network.

Mattia,

Yes that worked, now all I have to do is figure out how to add a real time clock to this and we're good to go

Many Thanks for your efforts here well done

cool thing!

should you need any help please drop me an email/raise an issue on github, gps and rtc is something I definitely have on my to-do list and I'd bemore than happy to provide the needed bits to have them working out of the box.

Arch is a bit different than raspbian, but my distro is still running the official raspberry kernel so it should work

Hi,

I have installed the repo and everything runs properly, nice work.

As Alan, there is still the rtc missing, i'll give a try after work.
