I am currently experimenting with INDI servers on my Raspberry Pi 4, running Ubuntu Server 64-bit. I installed all INDI libraries and finally started an INDI server.
Now, I wanted to test this server with the Ekos on my laptop running Ubuntu.
Given that where I work I cannot connect them through internet (Firewall issues), I connected the RB to the PC directly with an ethernet cable. However, I started the server with:
indiserver -v
the server is operative and listening to port 7624. (as you can see in attached picture)
Then, I open Ekos and try to connect to the server with "Device Manager" -> "Client".
I add a new host using the name of the RB user, and using 7624 as port.
However, it says that it failed to connect to INDI server.
Check if there is a network route to the RPi IP from your PC. i.e. Does it respond to pings from your PC?
Clear Skies,
Pramod
