Okay so I finally found a workaround. I added a simulated focuser and now I can loop. However it's unusable in practice since it takes between 10 and 20 seconds to take one 1 second exposure. My Lenovo tablet is at one inch of the Stellarmate X, so it's not a WiFi issue...
