However, why is the mountain upside down? EKos seems to default to this. And no, it's not that the camera is upside down. It isn't. In fact, I found that CCDCiel, with its larger window was a better way to dial in the original approximate daylight focus. CCDCiel makes the image right-side up. I found the "flip vertical" option but this only worked for completed previews. If I tried that option in a preview loop, it would always go back to upside down. Is there a way to make right-side up the default?
Also, CCDCiel allows debayering in the preview. It's not very good, the colors are off, but there's something. I did not find such an option in KStars.
Anyway, I will be eager to try observing in the night sky with this setup. I hope the focus will be good enough. It's still not great.
