Atik CCD: Can I take darks without covering camera was created by Derek

OK Dumb question but when I take darks I remove the camera (Atik 383L+), screw on the protecting cover and then take dark/bias frames.
I rarely have to do it as I have a decent library of frames now, but will need some more soon.
Since the 383L+ has a shutter, can I take an image with indi that leaves the shutter closed?

Hi Derek, capture with closed shutter is not actually supported by this INDI driver.
I don't have 383L+ anymore to try it, but as I remember, shutter was not tight enough to make dark frame. Peter
