Hi, I have been having problems with Kstars Ekos for several months now.. I use it on 2 PCs, one linux and one Apple Mac Book Air M1, until December last year Kstars worked perfectly, but now on the Apple PC it has several problems, not connects the camera, does not connect the profile, sometimes it starts, but I can't select the mount, the main camera or the guide, if I try to change these parameters the program closes... sorry because I love kstars, I've been using it for years, but recently it's impossible for me to do strophotography with this program.. The same happened to me also on the linux PC, now I've managed through the Manjaro distro to have less problems, it seems that with linux the program turns off only when I try to do the polar alignment.. but for this I will open another topic... I provide the data from the LOGS, I hope can help me. Thank you
yes, I've already tried all the versions, even older ones, I also tried the latest update hoping that the problem is solved, but it still doesn't work, ekos crashing!
While this likely doesn't account for crashes on start up, I noticed that in your screenshot it appears no optical trains have been established. I can't recall exactly when KStars implemented optical trains but it seems like it may have been around the time you indicate you began having problems. Just a thought.
I just downloaded this version (the May 4th version) and installed it over a previous version. It launched appears to work OK for me (not tested at night). binary-factory.kde.org/job/KStars_Nightly_macos/
yes exactly, from that period it started not working well.. now I deleted all kstars and re-installed the old version 3.5.0 and everything seems to work perfectly, only that in the guide there is no multistar:lol:
