I need help in taking my flats. I used the flats calibration wizard to generate my flats frames. The image I got after WBPP was awful. It was full of artefacts that I couldn’t get rid of. When I stacked only the lights and master dark the image looked fine, without any of the artefacts.
So I was hoping someone could advise what ADU value I should use the flats wizard to get good flat frames. I have a SW 100ED Esprit, Optolong L-Ultimate filter, and asi2600mc.
Does anyone have the same or similar setup who can help me?
Oh and yes I take flat darks to calibrate with my flats.
Hi Rene,
not sure what the problem exactly is, but this is typically a good start:

Yeah that’s the values i used. But after I stacked in PI with WBPP. The image looked awful. I’m not quite sure what’s happening. Like I said when I stacked without flats the image looked fine.
Awful is a wide field - you need to be more specific.
Could you please share your flats, lights and results?
