Polar Alignment stalls after first image and slew. was created by Lee Maisel

Routine takes first image, then performs first slew and hangs there forever.

Can’t figure out why. No error message, just seems to be endlessly waiting for something.

Latest kstars on astroberry, OnStep controller.

Whats the slew speed set to? I recall on my HEQ5 it seemed to do that too but I found out it was slewing so slowly that it wasnt noticeable. A change of speed sorted it out.

I noticed that when I first set it up, it was super slow. I changed it to Max, and it slews quickly.

What’s happening is, press start:photo taken:plate solved:mount slews…. And just sits there waiting for who knows what. No second picture is taken.

I got the same problem, but with syncing. Ekos take 1 image, platesolve and then sync, the indi says syncing but never complete, all 2 button in plate solve module greyed out. Until I make a slew command the INDI receive synced message and the buttons show up again. Also OnStepX

Nothing odd in the logs, I suspect that the same thing is happening with meridian flips, for some reason, INDI or EKOS isn't receiving a completion signal from the mount. It works in all other respects, and seems to know what the mount is doing at all times except when it sends a slew for the polar alignment and for meridian flip.. weird
