Ekos (correctly?) refuses to run Polar Align Assistant

Hello all,

I realize that a minimum dimension must exist for
the Polar Align assistant to run. The stated value
when the message comes up that refuses to run
the Polar Align Assistant, is that my field is less
than 30 arcminutes.

However, *one* dimension of the field is 32 arcminutes.
It's true that the other dimension is only about 25 arcminutes.

Is there some option that can be set such that the Polar Align
Assistant will run anyway, if the operator is willing to take the
risk of an alignment failure?

Thanks,

Gregory

Just bumping this topic, since there seems to have been no response.

I support the idea that the restriction should be removed and maybe replaced by a warning to user that the FOV may be too small. Unless there is some strong reason for the algorithm to not be applicable for smaller FOVs. Basically every setting in Ekos is customizable (also to a point where it may fail with certain parameters), so why should only this feature be locked?
