I will happily create torrents for Norder6.tar.xz and Norder7.tar.xz, but it would need other people to participate in the seeding - I don't mind giving 20Mbps of my upstream for 1 week, for seeding to happen, after one week I could continue to seed, but at say 5Mbps.Hopefully that would give enough time for the data to get out there?

Attached is a gz of the Norder6 torrent file, perhaps someone can check whether it can connect to my seed.

Perfect, as the number of seeders goes up I will gradually reduce my allowed upload rate (it's more or less at maximum right now).

Why not bundle all of them together in a single torrent?

I think some people might have Norder3 and Norder5 from the dropbox at the beginning of the thread, and many won't want Norder6 and Norder7 because they are too much data for their needs. So I thought Norder1-4 (it's small enough anyway), Norder 5 (bit bigger), Norder6 (large), Norder7 (very large).

I don't think we can selectively choose which parts of a torrent we can choose to download? Correct me if I've made a mistake. Perhaps you can, and I can just create a torrent to my /usr/share/kstars/HIPS and people can choose what files to get?

We can selectively skip and give priority to files within a torrent.
I'm going to grab nordrer 1-4 and see if it's possible to reduce the image data with indexed colours. Report back later.

Good point, probably 1-5 is enough for most people out there. Doesn't 6 and 7 causes KStars to freeze?

It's not freezing on my system, but I'll compare resource usage this weekend, I've only tested on my desktop, which has 64GB ram, might make less resourceful systems start swapping I suppose.
