I have tried to point the camera (without any telescope) with and without the cap. There were no difference. I expect that there should be at least some change when I take off the cap.
Apologies Hades - yes, you're absolutely right. There should be a change when the camera is uncovered. Out of interest what capture software are you using?
This saves me the bother of having to haul out my scope in the daytime just to do testing.
I use one of the extension rings that comes with the lens for usable focus.
I have the SV305.
Thanks. Your settings are OK. Did you try to randomly change the image settings (gain, dark offset, etc).
You're right, you captures are dark dark dark black
Could you please check your SDK version :
go to /usr/local/lib/ (or /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/), you should find a group of files like this one :
I see version 1.6.6 in the folder. Btw I am using Ubuntu on my linux laptop and Raspbian on RPi. Testing is done on laptop, but I would like to use the camera mainly on Raspberry.
Hi Collin, I have tried it, but it remains the same. I have also checked the folder /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ and 1.6.6 is still there, no 1.6.8 version. Have I done something wrong?
Thank you,
hades
edit: I see these builded files in the /usr/local/lib/ (not in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/). So i have copied them to the correct folder ( /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/) and build once again. Unfortunately, there is no improvement.
