You will probably want to delete your data directory in ~/Library/Application Support/kstars so that the new files will get copied in there when KStars copies in the data directory on startup. (Or you could copy the files in manually if you like)
Hi and thank you for your help with this issue.
I deleted the kstars folder in ~/Library/Application Support/kstars, downloaded the 3.2.1 dmg, dragged it to my application folder and started kstars.
Now the assistant appears and I followed the necessary steps (create data directory...).
But it is the same behavior as before: right click on a planet won't open xplanet.
Open xplanet shows Saturn, switching to Moon, Jupiter - nothing happens.
Closing Kstars will result in a crash. Don't know if this has something to do with the wrong library you mentioned before?
