Might be an issue with those using INTEL Macs and Sonoma.
I'm running Sonima on an old 2012 Intel Mac and had to use the above "xattr -cr" remove attributes command.

This fixed the “corrupt file” error that I got:

I got the same message when I too tried to install on Sonoma. I thought my download was bad so I downloaded a new one - same result. I then found a fix online that blocks the Mac from issuing that warning (it was a command in the terminal, but I forgot what it was). That fixed it and it installed fine after- so the fike isn’t corrupted.

I have a new Raspberry Pi5 with an M.2 NVME SSD adapter.
Does anyone have instructions to move my entire Stellarmate OS that is running well on the Pi5 over to the SSD drive so I can boot from that?

I just downloaded and installed Stellarmate with Stars 3.7 on a Raspberry Pi 4.
Again the AAG Cloudwatcher is not recognized. I then switched over to an old install of Kstars 3.6 on Stellarmate and AAG Cloudwatcher works fine.
The only thing I changed was Kstars. It's 3.7 that fails.

I have tried for three days to connect to my AAG Cloudwatcher with KStars 3.7 with no luck.
I keep getting this error:

[ERROR] Could not connect to AAG Cloud Watcher. Handshake failed. Check port or cable.

I tried my other Mac computer running an older version of KSTars and it connected just fine - so the device and cables are OK.
I went back to my normal MacMini running OS 14 Somina and ran the Cloudwatcher standalone ap and it connected perfectly.
This show that the computer and OS are OK seeing and connecting to my Cloudwatcher system.

While I was connected to the stand alone ap, I then tried KStars 3.7 again and got this error:

[ERROR] Failed to connect to port (/dev/cu.usbserial-A9R484KV). Error: Port failure Error: Resource busy. Check if device is connected to this port.

I expected that - as the stand alone ap was connected to it. But that shows that INDI can SEE the port without any issues.
So I quite the stand alone ap and tried KSTars again - and again got the first error message that the Handshake failed.
I rebooted multiple times and still cannot get it to connect with KStars 3.7.

Any ideas?

Ok, KStars 3.7 is working well under Sonoma on a modified old Mac.
However, as of right now I am unable to get the USB/SERIAL adapter to work which is needed to control my AAG Cloudwatcher weather monitor.

I finally got 3.7 running on my old 2012 MacMini.
I used OpenCore to modify the Mac to support and install Mac OS 15 Sonoma.
Since I will not use this Mac fr any other use - it may solve my problem. I'll be testing with KStars as soon as I get it all reconfigured with all my gear.

I was running my whole observatory with KStars and was constantly advertising KStars online in many forums. But this latest upgrade is a complete show stopper for me now. Looks like I’ll have to completely change the way I was running the observatory and may just bite the poison pill and go with NINA.
