Ok, Launchpad is having problem with the build process.. I keep rebuilding and it random passes and randomly fails. I opened a ticket here: answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+question/676951

Got the new package, indi-gphoto version 2.6~201812201223~ubuntu18.04.1, and it does not crash any more.
