[Solved] Help with debugging

I am attempting to find the issues with the Pegasus UPB dew heaters.

It was a while ago that I last did some Indi development so I have spent most of the day getting it setup again. I have reached the very last stage and now I am a little stuck.
I am running Ubuntu 18.04 and Qt. I have followed all the instructions and I can now successfully build and start the debugger but I cannot get the device to connect.

I have set "set follow-fork-mode child" in the GDP settings.
I have created a Client connection in the device manager of Kstars.

I start my debug session in Qt.

I can connect from the device manager to the debug instance of the indiserver

All the parameter for the UPB look fine (just to be clear I have attached the UPB to my Pi4 version of Indi aan it all work fine, except the dew heaters auto mode)

When I try to connect to the UPB it always fails

How should I approach debugging this part?

Maybe I just tired after a long day but any tips would be most welcome as I am so close!

I forgot to mention I have the debugging on but when I try to connect I got no message at all. If I save the config I do see that message appear in the log
