Hi Mark,
I can reproduce the crash with the simulator, the problem comes from the Alignment subsystem math when syncing in south hemisphere (you should be the fisrt there!).
It seems the problem may be overcome by switching to the SVD Math Plugin in the Alignment Tab before connecting the mount.
I will capture exceptions when calling the Alignment Subsystem sync function, this should suppress the crash, and try to investigate further in the subsystem itself.
Hi Jean-Luc,
Thanks for that, the SVD Math Plugin option works as suggested.
Let me know if there is anything I can help with for southern hemisphere testing...
Cheers, Mark
Hi Mark,
I think I've found the error, a small omission in the BasicMathPlugin specific to this case (one sync point in southern hemisphere).
It seems ok under the simulator now. May you test in real conditions ?
My fork is at github.com/geehalel/indi so you have to rebuild all the indi library from there (not only indi-eqmod).
Thanks,
Jean-Luc.

Apologies for the slow reply, my system has been offline.
I have just built indi from your git fork as suggested, and sync and slew are working well with the inbuilt math plugin.
Thanks again, Mark
Just a quick question on eqmod stuff, that I think I know the answer to.
I've ordered an EQ8 for one of the domes. I believe the eqmod stuff will 'just work' with the eq8, is that correct ?
