I have purchased and downloaded Stellarmate OS as a Thank you to the Kstars team.
I have been using the Astroberry build till now and would like to copy the configurations across to the Stellarmate SD card. What are the files that I need to copy and are there any changes to the config files as its upgrading from an older 16bit version of Kstars.

What kind of configuration files are you willing to copy?

The configuration is stored in

~/.local/share/kstars
~/.indi
~/.config/kstarsrc

Someone more professional will tell you about the differences.

Hi Salman, ideally all the configurations I have made to Ekos. So I end up with a more or less similar setup on Stellarmate. eg. artificial horizon, guide settings, focuser settings, scheduler settings (MF, align verifications etc.). As the settings are all over the place in Ekos it means remembering every single screen where you have made them. Not simple
And then comes the task of exporting the sequence files and hoping that these havent undergone changes over the course of version upgrades.

A wishlist item is a backup & recover option for config!

For backup, Some of the main directories backed up by SM are:
- "~/.indi"
- "~/.config/kstars/*"
- "~/.local/share/kstars"
- "/etc/NetworkManager/system-connections"
- "~/.local/share/ekoslive"

So is there a way I could take this backup and restore to a new SD card having SM?
