Was I supposed to have qt5 installed?? That wasn't on Rob's list of steps

Via brew, I mean, obviously I have it in my home dir

Forget about the brew install qt5, I was trying to figure out why KF5 wanted to install a custom compile one instead of using the brew Qt5.
And them I've found the work around....

Partly the goal was to escape the brew qt5 because it takes sooooooo loooooong

Yeah, but I spaced out there

If you were installing brew qt5, then you could space out for quite awhile!!

well this is odd and annoying... as I didn't encounter that I believe.

the kauth symlink was a dead-end, I've re-receate it !!!
