Greetings all,

I would like to purchase the AAG Cloud Watcher for my remote observatory, but before I do so I need a little bit more information about something.

From the URL www.indilib.org/devices/weather-stations/aag-cloud-watcher.html :
I've read the doc over at www.aagware.eu/aag/cloudwatcher700/WebHelp/index.htm but can't figure out how the switch (relay) is being triggered :(

Am I right in saying that if for example, rain has been detected the switch will be triggered ?

No, the driver just gives access to the switch. It's up to a user or a script to actually flip the switch.

Yeah, the switch - which uses a separate wire from the Cloudwatcher Unit - has to be programmed by you. But if you want to control main actions such as closing the shutter or parking the dome, those actions can be controlled within EKOS's dome controller based on Coudwatcher alerts and warnings.
