Hello folks,

My old Skywatcher board with the D9 plug just died (and seemed to take the SynScan handset with it) and was replaced by a new motherboard with a USB port and no EQmod cable.

The old EQmod driver can no longer see it and nor can the SynScan driver (although I imagine if I used the SynScan HC cable it could). What driver is used for a USB connected board please?

Ah, do I have to use the RJ45-USB cable? I'll check it out.

Is the EQ5 RJ45 the same as the EQ6 RJ45?

Did you set the Baud rate to 115200? As far as I remeber theEQmod cable was set to 9600.

P.S.: I use the EQ6-R with USB port. Just connect the mount USB with the PC/Raspi USB port, set Baud to 115200 and it should work. And I use the eqmod driver.

OK, great. I'll try that. In fact since my last post, I've tested the EQMod cable in the Handset socket with the EQMod driver and it works. Obviously it would be nice to be able to plug the handset in at the same time.
